- Videos in Spanish and English about the education in Finland and China in comparison to U. S. A.'s -
Education in Finland is 100% free for the student's
family. They have 40% immigrants, less than 1% dropouts and no teacher unions. Before long they all know four languages, Finish, Swedish, English and Spanish. All teachers have a teacher aide and if there is a need they pull some students out of their classrooms by a third teacher. Children have recess every 45 minutes!!! for 15 minutes. Most parents take the education of their children in a much more responsible way. Teachers get paid more and are respected by parents and
students like in no other country. After you see these videos you will
understand where is the USA heading. The USA is already one of the worst
performers in the world. |

Please take a look to some pictures of the opposite case
scenario happening near the high Andes mountains close to Lima, Peru in Jicamarca village
(7,802 ft above sea level) where teachers have to travel 2.5 hours from Lima to get
before the school starts to meet students yearning to learn. There are
classroom with no heating systems, very limited material resources yet they
produce outstanding results like 13 year old children that have already read
150 books. This school has recently been awarded the best in Latin America,
not focused on acquiring discipline-based content in the core-curriculum.
All these children respect and appreciate their teachers and are thankful
they have the opportunity to learn.
