Winwood went on to found the influential band Traffic and the supergroup Blind Faith with Clapton before releasing a series of multi-million-selling solo albums in the Seventies and Eighties.

He has played with all the greats from Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix to Clapton and Lou Reed, won two Grammy awards and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Steve's daughter Francesca Nash, a 41-year-old mother of three living in the Nottinghamshire village of East Leake, England.
She, too, is a musician and her deep-set brown eyes, angular cheekbones and open smile are eerily reminiscent of the young Winwood. And now she has come forward to say that she is Winwood's natural daughter and is desperate to meet him.
